Description

The Rapitest® Soil Thermometer helps ensure that your seeds and new plants are successful when they are planted. By timing planting based on soil temperature, plants get off to a good start. Plants that have been planted in soil that is too cold exhibit symptoms similar to those planted in soil that has poor nutrient values. Once the soil warms up, they begin to grow vigorously if they have survived the cold conditions. Most seeds require warm soil to a depth of at least 3 inches in order to encourage germination.

This accurate and durable gardening tool is cased in corrosion free aluminum and is scaled in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. It also includes a handy guide that lists the temperature ranges for over 25 types of plants.

The 6" long thermometer is easy to use and read:
Simply insert thermometer to a maximum depth of 2-3 inches (5-8 cm) in the soil. Check the temperature recorded after 3 minutes.
